Get ready for a new British music invasion with the indie Powerpop/punk band Pure Dead Brilliant. Their music is easily appealing full of colorful lyrics, catchy hooks, and overall fun vibrations that one cannot help but fall in love with the band. Isaac: Let’s get started with this interview. When and how did you first become interested in music? How long have you been playing music?

Ben Brilliant: I’ve always been interested in music since I was a kid; I suppose it's just stuck with me all my life. I’ve been playing instruments for the past 10 years.

Isaac: Who would you say are your biggest musical influences and why?

Shawn brilliant: Early Greenday, the Foo Fighters, Bevy and Golden Virginia!

Isaac: What has been the greatest highpoint in your career so far?

Shawn brilliant: Playing the cavern club in Liverpool was smashing banter.

Ben Brilliant: It was probably when we played our first gig over the boarder down in Manchester.

Isaac: What draws you to want to play the type of music that you do?

Shawn brilliant: When the four of us are writing music, it just comes naturally and is such a rush it has become our lives.

Ben Brilliant: I like to try and make music that people can relate too lyrics wise and I try to write the most catchy guitar riffs I can that will stick in your head.

Isaac: If you had the opportunity to do one cover, what cover would you do?

Shawn brilliant: “About You Now” by the Sugarbabes (pop punk version).

Ben Brilliant: It would be “This Is The One” by the Stone Roses because it has my most favorite guitar piece ever written.
